Palliative care isn’t only about end of life, it is also about symptom and pain management. Palliative care is an essential part of comprehensive life-long health care and is a fundamental human right. A person-centred holistic approach to the delivery of health and illness services is a hallmark of a quality health system.

The founder of the Hospice Movement, Dame Cicely Saunders, was motivated by her belief:

“You matter – because you are you, and you will matter to the end of your life.”

At Orange Hospital, the small practical comforts and more homelike environment in the exisiting Palliative Care Unit, are provided by volunteers, and is only possible through funds generated by donations.
