Launch of Virtual Tour of Uniting Parkwood

On 27 September 2019, Orange Push for Palliative presented to Orange Health Service  and Uniting Parkwood, a virtual tour video of the beautiful palliative care facilities at Uniting Parkwood. View virtual tour.

At the six month mark of the trial at Parkwood, the Orange Push for Palliative team was happy to respond to a request to promote Parkwood and the four palliative care beds. The Parkwood facility has been well received and it was decided it would be helpful for patients and their families, whether at home or in hospital, to be able to view the facility and what it has to offer.

Excellent feedback is being received from families regarding how wonderful Uniting Parkwood has been for them. They have praised all the Parkwood staff for their warm and compassionate care. They also appreciated being able to have their own GP, and often Dr Christie, to support them at this sad time. The Specialist Palliative Care Team from Orange Health Service has worked closely with the staff at Parkwood to ensure that individual care requirements are provided.

Orange residents are extremely fortunate to have this facility available in their community.
