Palliative Care Garden at Uniting Parkwood

A community garden for the residents of Parkwood, and Palliative care patients and their families, is being developed in a shared partnership with Orange Rotary North, Parkwood Uniting , OP4P and Orange City Council.

This exciting project has been developed to create a beautiful and peaceful space for families and their loved  ones, as well as the residents of Parkwood. The ground is currently been laid out, new fences have been erected, and there will be working bees to put in the paths, and gardens.

The Orange community is invited to get involved with in-kind donations, working bees, plants and trees, loaned equipment etc. If you would like to get involved, contact the Project Manager, Terry Hinchcliff (President, Orange North Rotary), terryhinchcliff@gmail.com.

Jenny Hazelton, President of Orange Push for Palliative Care, recently identified that the garden is a 12-month trial “so we need this in place as soon as possible
