A Dedicated Palliative Care Unit
The Palliative Care Unit is now accepting patients and was officially opened in January this year. The ground floor area at the eastern end of the Orange Base Hospital has two dedicated palliative care beds, with the capacity to extend to four beds if needed.

A permanent palliative care unit commenced operation on 11 January this year. This Unit opened after a trial palliative care service at Uniting Parkwood.

Orange Push for Palliative Group Win Second Australia Day Award!
During the 2020 Australia Day Ceremony at Cook Park, Orange Push For Palliative won the Community Group of the Year Award, its second award on this national day of celebration. The group secured a four-bed palliative care trial last year.

Palliative Care Garden at Uniting Parkwood
A community garden for the residents of Parkwood, and Palliative care patients and their families, is being developed in a shared partnership with Orange Rotary North, Parkwood Uniting , OP4P and Orange City Council.

“The Eclectic Life” Fundraiser a Huge Success!
On Friday night, amidst some pretty stormy weather, the Art Exhibition “The Eclectic Life” was opened by OP4P’s President Jenny Hazelton. Well known local artists Joy Engelman and Josephine Jagger-Manners put on a beautiful exhibition and had worked hard for many months to make the exhibition a reality. We were all thrilled with the turnout, with over 100 people attending.

Orange Palliative Care Push-Start as Health Service Calls for Providers
Four dedicated beds for palliative care patients in Orange could be operational by the end of the year after the health service announced it was calling for expressions of interest from providers.
